SA Partners Looks to Atlantic Global for Project Portfolio Management. Atlantic Global solution set enables "Lean Thinking" Consultants to consolidate project planning and reporting, resource allocation, client management and timesheet reporting onto one system.
February 15th 2005:
Bradford, England: Atlantic Global PLC, today announces that it has signed a contract with SA Partners for its Time and Expense Management, Project Planning and Business Information Tracking applications. Cardiff, Reading and Warwick-based SA Partners, a 50-strong specialist Lean Thinking consultancy, will use the Atlantic Global solution to consolidate the management of all its major business processes onto one system. The new system will replace a series of independent, bespoke spreadsheets and support SA Partners four key business processes - demand management & resourcing, time reporting and invoicing, people management and client relationship management. The new Atlantic Global system will provide SA Partners with a number of expected benefits including enabling more rapid and accurate decision-making; driving enhanced project management disciplines and hence better client satisfaction; reducing errors and duplication and consequently improving efficiency and reducing costs.
With a minimal implementation and training cycle, SA Partners expects to be up and running on the new Atlantic Global system by April of this year. Once installed, all consultants and operational staff will have access to the new system through a web-dashboard, ensuring that they can access or update project and customer information wherever there is an Internet connection. The timesheet and expenses management application will form the basis of SA Partners reporting and invoicing systems. It will be integrated directly with SA Partners Sage accounting system, removing the need for consultants to manually raise invoices for admin to input into Sage. The same information will also be used to generate real-time performance reports, including resource utilisation, costs and capacity.
SA Partners senior consultants and management will use Atlantic Global's Project Planning application to manage demand, forecasting and the skills base. In particular, the ability to reference forecast demand for resources against the skills base will enable SA Partners to quickly identify recruitment and training requirements. In addition, all customer information will be centralised from a number of disparate databases onto the Atlantic Global database and linked with relevant projects and programmes. Thus enabling SA Partners to better track its sales pipeline and reduce the time spent searching for information.
Commenting on the forthcoming implementation of Atlantic Global's solution, Dale Williams, managing partner of SA Partners said: "We have every confidence in the effectiveness of our business processes yet realised that we could increase their efficiency with a single, integrated portfolio management system. The beauty of the Atlantic Global solution is that we can simply map the new system to our existing processes and immediately improve the efficiency and effectiveness of these processes. In addition, the availability of timely information about resource utilisation and process performance will facilitate quicker and more accurate decision making."
"All of our customers, regardless of size and sector, share one pain point - the proliferation of spreadsheets used for planning, forecasting and reporting," said Eugene Blaine, CEO of Atlantic Global. "With the inherent limitations that spreadsheets place on collaboration, information synchronisation and timely reporting, it is not surprising that spreadsheets can stifle even the most well-designed business processes. SA Partners has been quick to understand the impact that up-to-the-minute information about the deployment and performance of resources can have on process efficiency and forward planning.
