Human Rights Act 2000
Freedoms set out in the European Convention on Human Rights were brought into UK law by The Human Rights Act of 2000. Although Human rights have been part of UK law for many years prior, the changes in 2000 brought the ability for individuals to bring cases to a UK court rather than having to go to a European court.
Now a Company must comply with the new laws in terms of working conditions and the treatment of staff or any individual who interacts with the company.
