Gartner and Effective IT - Press Release

Gartner Magic QuadrantAtlantic Global Gains Momentum With Gartner Recognition and Effective IT Award. Atlantic Global PLC, today announced that, only nine months after the launch of its Corporate Vision portfolio management solution, it has been positioned in Gartner's Project and Portfolio Management 'Magic Quadrant'. The only UK headquartered vendor represented in this 'Magic Quadrant', Gartner noted that Atlantic Global has already established itself in the UK and is now entering the US market.

Effective ITIn addition, Atlantic Global customer LogicaCMG scooped the award for the Most Effective Use of IT in Utilities, Energy and Telecoms at the prestigious Effective IT Awards 2005, organised by Information Age. LogicaCMG were given the award in recognition of their highly successful implementation of Atlantic Global's Corporate Vision solution to manage a portfolio of over 200 IT-related projects, spread across two continents. With Corporate Vision in place, LogicaCMG has been able to improve the way it plans, costs and executes projects spread across teams working in the UK and India, realising a significant return on investment, purely from cost savings related to automating collaboration and reporting processes.

Since the launch of Corporate Vision in October 2004, Atlantic Global has steadily gained momentum with sales to blue-chip organisations including Man Investments, Xchanging and Virgin Mobile. Gartner predicts that market growth for IT Portfolio Project Management software will accelerate, driven by a need to link business and IT strategies and plans and mandates for sound project justification and auditable cost compliance. With Corporate Vision well placed to satisfy these drivers, Atlantic Global has increased investment in sales, engineering and marketing functions to address the market opportunity.

"All of our customers, regardless of size and sector, share one pain point - the proliferation of spreadsheets used for project planning, forecasting and reporting," said Eugene Blaine, CEO of Atlantic Global. "Given that the corporate environment is one of constant change, it is no surprise that the inherent limitations that spreadsheets place on process automation, information synchronisation and timely reporting are damaging organisations ability to effectively react to change. As LogicaCMG has proved and Gartner has highlighted, reducing our reliance on spreadsheets for project management can lead to massive improvements in efficiency and business visibility.
